Treatment Condition:
All duplex 2205 fittings are solution annealed at 1040–1120°C followed by rapid water quenching. This
treatment restores the balanced ferrite-austenite microstructure (35–65%
ferrite), relieves internal stresses, and ensures optimum corrosion resistance.

Duplex 2205 fittings weldable without PWHT?
Yes, but require low heat input and N₂-containing shielding gas. Post-weld heat
treatment is not required for most applications due to the duplex
microstructure.
